By Bus
Eldon Square is located at the centre of the regional transport network with many fast and frequent bus services.

Eldon Square Bus Station serves destinations in the Tyne Valley, Gateshead, Sunderland and County Durham as well as other long distance locations to the west and south of Newcastle.

Haymarket Bus Station (2 minute walk) serves destinations in northern Newcastle, Northumberland, and North Tyneside.

Bus stops located on Blackett Street (adjacent to the shopping centre and up to 5 minutes walk away) are used mainly by local services operating to the eastern and western suburbs of Newcastle.

Bus stops located on Pilgrim Street (adjacent to the shopping centre and up to 5 minutes walk away) are used by local services and also a number of long distance services serving destinations to the south of Newcastle.

Bus stops at Central Station (10 minute walk) serve destinations throughout Newcastle, Gateshead, and County Durham.

By Metro
One of the fastest ways to travel into Newcastle City Centre is on the Tyne & Wear Metro which runs to Eldon Square from Newcastle International Airport, Central Rail Station, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. Metro is convenient, fast, frequent and easy-to-use.

Eldon Square is accessible via the Monument Metro Station which has it’s own dedicated entrance into Eldon Square.

Newcastle Central Station is approximately 10 minutes walk from Eldon Square and is one stop away on the Tyne & Wear Metro. It is well-served from most areas of the country by train, making this an excellent transport link to visit Eldon Square and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Park and Ride
Park and Ride sites are available at the following Metro Stations: 
Callerton Parkway (NE13 8DF), Kingston Park (NE3 2SW), Walkergate (NE6 4NT) and Regent Centre (NE3 3PF). 

There is also a bus-based Park and Ride facility at Newcastle Great Park (NE13 9AA).

Cycling is good for the environment, it's fast, it's convenient, it's reliable, it gives you freedom and independence and takes you from door to door.

On Foot
Walking is a healthy form of exercise and generates no pollution.

Eldon Square is located in the heart of Newcastle City Centre and is accessible from Blackett Street, Clayton Street, Newgate Street, Nelson Street, Northumberland Street and Percy Street, all of which are just a few minutes walk from the local Metro stations and bus stops.

For those living or staying close to the City Centre then it is also only a 15 minute walk or so from Jesmond and Sandyford.

By Taxi
Newcastle is served by a network of Hackney Carriages which operate from sizeable ranks around the City Centre and numerous drop off points exist for Eldon Square, simply ask your driver.
